On Friday my sister Carly and I took our kids rock climbing at the Quarry in Provo. There were three kids walls and Jack was the only one who made it to the top of all three. The first time he got his harness on he made it 3/4 of the way up the wall and then came down. Another time he wanted to quit and I told him that I wouldn't let him down until he made it to the top. So he just kept climbing. I was just teasing but I don't think he realized that. Grady did awesome on the free climbing walls! It was just so much fun to do something different!

Livy's 2nd B-day
For Livy's second birthday we had a tea party. The girls were princesses and the boys were knights. We played a few games, decorated cup cakes and opened presents. Since Olivia loves shoes so much I found some shoes on craigslist that I knew she would love and she did! My friend made her this beautiful hat. It was such a special day!
Park City 2009
Thanks to the generosity of my fabulous in-laws we got to spend several days in Park City at a really nice hotel. The cousins had fun swimming at the pool that was half in doors and half out doors. They made crafts and got their faces painted. The clown who painted their faces did the best job I've ever seen! She even made balloon swords for the boys. Livy wouldn't get her face painted. How sad! We went sledding a few times. The boys went up and down the hill a hundred times but Livy just sat at the top with Aunt Heather content just to watch. It was fun and a wonderful winter vacation!

Christmas 2009
We got to spend Christmas with our families which was so wonderful! We got to open presents at our own house. We made gingerbread houses. I honestly believe that childhood is better the second time as a parent. Christmas is so magical and it is so much fun to make your kids eyes light up. Jack really understood what was happening this year. Livy didn't quite get it at first but once she opened a few presents she really liked this Christmas thing. One of their favorite gifts was from their cousins which was towels like a monster and a butterfly.
As a surprise to Aunt Meggie we all chipped in for tickets to a Michael Buble concert. She was surprised and loved it!
