Livy's Shoe Fetish
I know that she is a little young to have already started this but she is obsessed with shoes! She likes to try on my shoes, Chris's shoes and Jack's shoes. She especially loves his snow boots and cowboy boots. When she was only 12 months old I went shopping for sandals and she ripped off her shoes and was trying on any shoes she could reach from the stroller. She even tries on Grandma's high heels. When we get ready to go somewhere we ask Livy to bring us all of our shoes and she does. I love my little girl!
Happy Halloween
This Halloween we used the same costumes as last year since they fit. (Hey sometimes it is great that my kids don't grow). It was fun to be with cousins, Alli (vampire), Brennen (Ninja), Grady (Ninja), and baby Landon (froggy). We went to so many Halloween parties that by the time Halloween actually came we only went trick or treating around Grandma Paula's house. The kids got so much candy! I told Jack he could eat however much candy he wanted on Halloween but if he ate too much it would make him sick. He only ate two pieces. Jack was a dragon and Livy was a pink poodle named Fifi. She kept on roaring like a dragon instead of barking like a poodle. It kids of fit her personality. I love my two cute kids!

Chris' dinner with Chief Justice Roberts of the United States Supreme Court
Chief Justice John Roberts of the United States Supreme Court came to little Moscow, ID for the centenial of the law school which also happens to be the bicentennial of Abraham Lincoln's birthday. Chris and I both got to attend a lecture that he gave about Abraham Lincoln. There was a question and answer period where only one crazy showed up to. Chris also go to attend a dinner with him and sat just 3 feet away. He is quite the family man and said, "If you want to spend time with your young children, you have to do it while they are young."
Olivia's First Birthday
Olivia's first birthday was special because Grandma Paula came up to see her. We were honored she traveled so far just for that! We had a Tinkerbell party even though her father wanted to have a Miss Piggy or howler monkey party instead. Mommy made a little twist on "Pin the Tail on the Donkey" and we did "Pin the Wand on Tinkerbell." We had cake and of course Livy's favorite dish, ice-cream. We knew that she wouldn't be shy about eating cake or ice cream and she wasn't. We liked her Steven Tyler impression when she was eating the ice cream. We loved to spend that very special day with her and remember the day the she first joined our family. She got toys and clothes from Mom and Dad and the same from grandmas and cousins.
